Great service. I had a flood late on a Friday evening and Disaster Care Capital were able to assist immediately. Communication was prompt and clear and they arrived with drying machines asap. Highly professional, they took time to answer all my questions, and the damage report was highly detailed, which made it easy when dealing with my insurance company to handle the claim.

After a flood the company were contacted by my insurance company to survey the damage and provide dehumidifiers, cut out the damaged sections of the ceilings and finally confirm that property had dried out ready for repair.

I was really impressed with the support I received from the team. Having a flood in your house is very upsetting, and you just want it sorted out. The communication and next steps were good, and the guys were courteous and on time.

Couldn’t ask for more.

General Dehumidifier Safety & Operating Tips

Safety Guidelines

Power supply: Always plug the unit directly into a properly grounded 230V socket. Avoid using extension leads or multi-plug adapters.

Positioning: Keep at least 30 cm clearance around the unit for airflow. Place on a level surface away from heat sources and flammable materials.

Water disposal: Regularly empty the water tank or connect the continuous drainage hose if provided. Never let the tank overflow.

Electrical safety: Do not operate with damaged cables or plugs. Do not immerse in water or expose to rain.

Children & pets: Keep the unit out of reach of children and pets.

Ventilation: Use in a ventilated area; never cover air intake or outlet.

Operating Instructions

Start-up: After placing and plugging in, switch on and select desired humidity level (often 40–50% RH for normal use).

Settings: Some models have ‘laundry’, ‘continuous’, or ‘eco’ modes — choose based on your needs.

Maintenance: Clean air filters weekly and check water tank daily.

Shutdown: Switch off and unplug before moving or cleaning the unit.
