Welcome to Dehumidifier Rentals! We’re thrilled you’re considering our equipment. To ensure a smooth and clear experience for everyone, please take a moment to review these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with your rental, you’re agreeing to the guidelines outlined below, which are designed to protect both you and us.
1. Definitions
- “Company” / “We” / “Us” refers to Dehumidifier Rentals.
- “Customer” / “You” / “Your” refers to any person or business hiring equipment from us.
- “Equipment” means the dehumidifiers and any accessories or additional items supplied.
2. Hire Period
2.1 The hire period starts from the agreed delivery date and continues until the equipment is collected by us or returned by you.
2.2 Minimum hire period is 1 week, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
2.3 Late returns will incur additional charges calculated daily at the standard weekly rate divided by seven.
3. Delivery and Collection
3.1 We will deliver and collect equipment at agreed times. Delays caused by incorrect site access information or unavailability will result in additional charges.
3.2 You must ensure authorised persons are present to receive and sign for the equipment upon delivery.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Full payment is required prior to delivery unless a credit account has been arranged.
4.2 We accept payment via bank transfer, debit, or credit card. To ensure uninterrupted service and avoid additional charges, please ensure payments are made by the due date. Late payments will incur interest at 4% per annum above the Bank of England base rate.
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 You are responsible for:
- Safekeeping of equipment from delivery until collection
- Using equipment only for its intended purpose and in accordance with user instructions
- Ensuring equipment is operated by competent persons
- Ensuring equipment is kept in a secure, indoor location
- Promptly notifying us of any faults or damage
5.2 You shall not:
- Attempt to repair or alter the equipment
- Remove any labels or identification marks
- Sublet or rehire equipment without our written consent
6. Loss, Damage, and Insurance
6.1 You are liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the equipment during the hire period.
6.2 We recommend that you arrange adequate insurance to cover hired equipment for its full replacement value.
6.3 Charges for damage or loss will be based on the cost of repair or replacement as reasonably determined by us.
7. Equipment Faults
7.1 All equipment is checked prior to delivery. If a fault develops:
- Notify us immediately. We will endeavour to repair or replace the equipment as soon as reasonably practicable.
- We shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from equipment failure unless caused by our negligence.
8. Cancellation Policy
8.1 Orders cancelled within 24 hours of scheduled delivery will incur a cancellation fee of of the hire charge.
8.2 Orders cancelled after delivery has been dispatched will incur the full hire charge plus delivery fees.
9. Liability
9.1 We shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by:
- Misuse or improper operation of equipment
- Failure to follow operating instructions
- Delays due to circumstances beyond our control
9.2 Our liability for any claim shall be limited to the hire charges paid by you for the relevant equipment.
10. Termination
10.1 We reserve the right to terminate the hire contract and repossess equipment immediately if you:
- Breach any of these Terms and Conditions
- Become insolvent or unable to pay debts
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
